The Opportunity:

A Science Teacher is needed to join a dedicated team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality education. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives, while working within a supportive and innovative environment. The position is a full-time maternity cover post, starting in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons at KS3 and KS4.
  • Support the school’s ethos by contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme and broader school life.
  • Utilise digital technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative and flexible curriculum content.
  • Encourage and support students in achieving their full potential.
  • Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Science education within the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science for the appropriate age range.
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to consistently deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos.
  • Willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital technology in teaching and learning.
  • Background in an independent or innovative curriculum setting.
  • Experience with co-ordinated education models.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
