The Opportunity:

A Teacher of Music is needed to inspire and lead students from Year 7 to Year 11. This role is ideal for someone passionate about music education and committed to delivering a high-quality, inclusive curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons across Year 7 to Year 11.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that reflects the school’s values and vision.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individual and group teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and trust to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including music events and performances.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
  • Engage in professional development and continuous improvement of teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in music education.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE).
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, performance, and curriculum development.
  • Experience teaching across a range of year groups.
  • Commitment to the school’s inclusive and high-achieving ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong music programme.
  • Ability to lead and inspire students through performance and composition.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and pastoral support.
  • Familiarity with the school’s values and vision.
