Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative music lessons that meet GCSE standards and inspire student achievement.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters creativity, performance, and musical appreciation.
  • Support students in achieving outstanding results and personal growth through individual and group instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s leadership and academic programmes.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular music activities and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in music education.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • A proven track record of delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and creatively engage learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in a faith-based or inclusive educational setting.
  • Experience with leadership and character development programmes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for music and a commitment to student success.
