The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a PE Teacher - Maternity Cover, delivering high-quality PE lessons and supporting student achievement in GCSE and A Level PE. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring PE lessons to students of all abilities.
- Support the development of students' physical, social, and emotional skills through sport and physical activity.
- Plan and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of students at GCSE and A Level.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Provide leadership and guidance in specialist areas such as Netball.
- Monitor and track student progress, ensuring high standards of achievement.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in PE.
- Proven ability to deliver effective PE lessons at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A specialism in Netball.
- Experience in developing student progress and achieving strong results.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering CPD and supporting staff development.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and support for students with additional needs.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
