The Opportunity:

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will design and develop data-driven tools that support strategic decision-making across Post-16 education. This role is essential to the school’s mission of driving excellence through data and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data-driven applications and analytical tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Design and implement BI solutions using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and improve reporting processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all systems.
  • Analyze complex datasets to generate insights that inform policy and practice.
  • Support the school’s continuous improvement initiatives through data visualization and reporting.
  • Maintain and optimize existing BI systems and dashboards.
  • Provide training and guidance to non-technical users on data tools and processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R) for data manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in an educational or similar environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with data warehousing or ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
