Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support the development of students’ mathematical skills and understanding.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Stay up to date with developments in education and curriculum changes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Work closely with students to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Provide clear and effective communication with parents and carers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently in training with successful completion of KS3 and KS4 placements.
  • Strong track record in teaching Mathematics at KS4 or KS5 with proven examination results.
  • In-depth knowledge of the A Level Mathematics curriculum and current educational developments.
  • Ability to implement vision and strategy in the classroom.
  • Commitment to supporting disadvantaged students.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL) or similar.
  • Leadership experience or involvement in departmental initiatives.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching other teachers.
