As an IT Subject Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the digital curriculum and driving excellence in IT education. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire students, while contributing to the school’s mission of raising standards and supporting disadvantaged learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the IT/Digital department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and deliver the CTECH Diploma IT and AAQ IT: Data Analytics curriculum.
  • Support the transition to the new V Level landscape from September 2027.
  • Monitor and raise student achievement and standards across Key Stage 5.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align vocational curriculum with strategic goals.
  • Provide professional development and mentorship to IT staff.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote the value of IT and digital education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in IT/Digital education.
  • Strong track record in teaching at Key Stage 5.
  • In-depth knowledge of CTECH Diploma IT and AAQ IT: Data Analytics.
  • Proven ability to raise standards and achievement in students.
  • Commitment to supporting disadvantaged learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Familiarity with vocational education and the V Level framework.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for digital innovation and technology in education.
