The Opportunity:

As a Business Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of full-time and part-time programmes. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities, while promoting essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a variety of full-time and part-time programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities that support student progress and development.
  • Promote essential skills including literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and support the delivery of basic and key skills.
  • Maximize learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
  • Ensure an outstanding learning experience for all students.
  • Support the development of teaching materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Comprehensive subject knowledge in business.
  • Understanding of current educational initiatives and teaching practices.
  • Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to plan, prepare, and assess learning activities effectively.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with learner management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience with virtual learning environments and student record systems.
  • A creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
