As a Maths Lecturer - Access to HE, you will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across a range of full-time and part-time programmes. You will play a key role in supporting learners to develop essential skills and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across a range of full-time and part-time programmes.
• Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities to support learner development.
• Promote essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and support the delivery of basic and key skills.
• Maximize learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
• Ensure an outstanding learning experience for all learners.
• Support the development of teaching materials and resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
• Understanding of current educational initiatives and teaching practices.
• Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to plan, prepare, and assess learning activities effectively.

Preferred

• Experience with learner management systems and virtual learning environments.
• Familiarity with student record systems and e-learning platforms.
• Experience in developing innovative teaching materials.
• Experience in supporting learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.
