Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging maths lessons to students across a range of full-time and part-time programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities that promote numeracy, literacy, and digital skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and support the delivery of essential skills to learners.
  • Maximize learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
  • Create innovative teaching materials that align with current educational initiatives.
  • Utilize IT tools such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Support learners in developing their mathematical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in teaching or supporting learners at a GCSE level.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with learner management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Knowledge of current educational initiatives and innovative teaching methods.
