The Opportunity:

As a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical teaching to students across a range of full-time and part-time programmes. You will support learners in developing essential skills, including digital capability and numeracy, while contributing to curriculum planning and improving learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across full-time and part-time programmes.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities that promote essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital capability.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and support the delivery of basic and key skills.
  • Maximize learner attendance, retention, and punctuality within assigned groups.
  • Ensure an outstanding learning experience for all students through innovative teaching methods.
  • Support the use of technology in teaching and learning, including virtual learning environments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and outcomes for students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong subject knowledge in motor vehicle maintenance and related areas.
  • Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in developing and delivering teaching materials.
  • Understanding of current educational initiatives and practices.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with learner management systems and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience in curriculum planning and development.
  • Background in teaching English as a second language.
  • Experience in working with diverse learner groups, including adult and younger students.
