Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver a high-quality, differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Monitor and support the academic and personal progress of students as a form tutor.
• Create a motivating and safe learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum design.
• Participate in staff development and professional growth initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Support the school’s ethos by promoting high expectations and equality of access for all learners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Experience teaching at secondary level, preferably in multi-ethnic urban schools and in an 11-18 setting.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
• Proficient in the use of ICT, including interactive teaching tools.

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
• Leadership experience or a track record of raising student attainment.
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
