Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality, differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Monitor and support the academic and personal progress of students as a form tutor.
- Create a motivating and safe learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
- Contribute to departmental planning, resource development, and curriculum design.
- Participate in staff development and professional growth initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Support the school’s ethos by promoting high expectations and equality of access for all learners.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
- Experience teaching at secondary level, preferably in multi-ethnic urban schools and in an 11-18 setting.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- Proficient in the use of ICT, including interactive teaching tools.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Leadership experience or a track record of raising student attainment.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
