The Opportunity:

We are seeking an A Level Psychology Teacher to lead and deliver an engaging and rigorous curriculum, inspiring students to achieve outstanding outcomes and progress to prestigious universities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver an engaging and rigorous A Level Psychology curriculum.
  • Foster intellectual curiosity and support students in becoming independent, resilient learners.
  • Monitor and support student progress, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and improve academic standards across the subject.
  • Evaluate and refine schemes of work to raise attainment and student outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to support colleagues in the Psychology department.
  • Ensure lessons are differentiated, engaging, and aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Use data to assess student performance and inform teaching strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A good honours degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
  • Experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 5 (A Level)
  • Proven track record of securing strong student outcomes at A Level
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Experience in assessing, tracking, and using data to improve student progress

Preferred

  • Experience of leading a subject department or taking on a leadership role
  • Experience with curriculum design and implementation
  • Experience in driving academic standards and student achievement
