Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of teachers, providing guidance and support to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in Business Studies and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in the department.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that aligns with the school's ethos and values.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support student welfare and development.
  • Promote the school's vision and values through effective leadership and communication.
  • Engage with the wider school community and contribute to general school life as a Middle Leader.
  • Support and participate in the Chaplaincy team's initiatives where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within a school or college.
  • Familiarity with Catholic education and its values.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Ability to integrate spiritual and moral development into teaching and learning.
