The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced History & Politics Teacher to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on students' learning and development. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 5, and potentially lead as a Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History and Politics lessons to students aged 11-18.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve outstanding academic results.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s vision and curriculum goals.
- Support the spiritual and personal development of students in line with the school’s ethos.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and leadership training.
- Manage a classroom effectively, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the pastoral and wider school community as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in History and Politics.
- Proven ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 5.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
- Experience in classroom management and curriculum development.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or coordination role within a school.
- Familiarity with Christian values and ethos in an educational setting.
- Experience with Chaplaincy or pastoral support.
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
