The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Teacher to join a thriving department offering a wide range of courses at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. This role provides an opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and success in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Business and Economics courses, including GCSE, A Level, and Cambridge Technical qualifications.
- Support students through personalized learning and targeted interventions to improve outcomes and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of departmental resources, assessments, and schemes of work.
- Engage students in extracurricular activities, such as trips, guest lectures, and conferences.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students to ensure their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a strong department culture and share best practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing clear feedback and support.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Business and Economics.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 levels.
- Strong understanding of AQA and OCR qualifications.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
Preferred
- Experience with extracurricular activities and student leadership programs.
- Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in teaching.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
- Ability to contribute to departmental initiatives and events.
