The Opportunity:
As a Lead Maths Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mathematics education across all key stages while supporting the school's broader Teaching & Learning priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead by example, influence teaching practices, and support the professional development of colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding Mathematics lessons to students of all abilities and ages.
- Support and lead the development of teaching and learning strategies across the school.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Principal and Teaching & Learning team to improve pedagogical standards.
- Model excellent classroom practice and provide guidance to colleagues.
- Develop and implement professional development plans for staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of the school’s curriculum.
- Support the embedding of the school’s ASPIRE values into everyday teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics across key stages.
- Strong leadership and collaborative skills.
- Ability to model and support best practice in teaching and learning.
- Commitment to student achievement and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a school.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in supporting student enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
