The Opportunity:
As a Business Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to a large and diverse student body. You will be responsible for teaching A level and BTEC courses, inspiring students to achieve their full potential and supporting their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the curriculum and promote student success.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support a wide range of learners, including those with special educational needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to departmental initiatives, and support the overall mission of the school.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that enhance the student experience.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in business education to ensure a relevant and dynamic learning environment.
- Support students in developing employability skills such as research, time management, and resilience.
- Contribute to the school’s inclusive and supportive culture, promoting diversity and equality in all aspects of teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Business or a closely related subject.
- Experience in teaching at the sixth form or equivalent level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing a high-quality, inclusive education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A level or BTEC Business courses.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
