The Opportunity:
As the Head of University Admissions, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students through the complex process of applying to top international universities. This is an opportunity to shape admissions strategy and support students in achieving their academic aspirations, particularly in the US, Canada, Europe, and Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a strategic approach to international university admissions.
- Provide individualized mentorship to students on academic choices, extracurricular development, and application strategies.
- Advise on standardized testing timelines and organize international experiences such as university tours and exchange programs.
- Support students through the full application lifecycle, from selecting colleges to submitting personal essays and official documents.
- Act as the primary liaison with university admissions officers and manage all communication with external institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global university representatives and coordinate on-campus recruitment events.
- Develop statistical insights and policy recommendations to inform higher education strategy and institutional priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- An undergraduate degree and substantial experience in international university advising.
- Deep understanding of US, Canadian, European, and Hong Kong university admissions processes and institutional cultures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear, tactful, and strategic guidance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex administrative tasks and competing priorities.
Preferred
- Membership of IACAC or relevant professional organizations.
- Experience with university admissions policy or working within an institutional admissions office.
- Certifications such as UCLA College Counselling or other recognized credentials in higher education advising.
