The Opportunity:

As Deputy Director of Adult and Higher Education, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality higher education provision. This is a leadership opportunity that combines strategic management with curriculum development and quality assurance. You will support the Director in expanding HE offerings and ensuring alignment with regulatory and partner university standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and expand higher education provision in line with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the Higher Education Quality Assessor, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and university partner standards.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote adult and higher education programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including universities, industry partners, and learners.
  • Support curriculum design and quality assurance across the Adult and Higher Education Division.
  • Deputise for the Director as required, ensuring continuity and leadership in all aspects of the division.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive culture that aligns with the school’s values and mission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance student outcomes and experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in higher education management or leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and ensure quality in educational programs.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and educational design.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for higher education in the UK.

Preferred

  • Experience in designing and delivering marketing campaigns for educational programs.
  • Background in adult education or teacher training.
  • Experience with quality assurance frameworks and accreditation processes.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and educational inspections.
  • Strong understanding of student progression and outcomes in higher education.
