The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach across the age and ability range, including CAIE IGCSE and OCR Physics A.
- Deliver lessons that promote independent inquiry and academic excellence.
- Develop and share innovative digital resources with the department.
- Support pupils through academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in the marking of scholarship and entrance exams and invigilate internal and external examinations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to pupil reports.
- Act as a tutor to a group of pupils within a boarding house.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, including Physics Olympiad training.
- Provide occasional cover for absences within the department or wider school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- An excellent Honours degree in Physics or a related field.
- Proven ability to teach Physics at both IGCSE and A Level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience in setting and marking work in line with departmental policies.
- Ability to work effectively in a boarding school environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or those seeking to develop their teaching practice.
- Background in leading or contributing to extra-curricular activities in Physics or related subjects.
- Experience with digital resource development and innovative teaching methods.
