The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting student progress and academic achievement. You will be part of a dynamic and well-resourced department that delivers high-quality teaching across A level and GCSE qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Mathematics, Further Maths, and Statistics, following the OCR (MEI) and Edexcel specifications.
  • Support student learning through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review curriculum content and assessment strategies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
  • Support the school’s mission to foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Mathematics or an allied subject.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at A level or GCSE.
  • Commitment to student progress and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a sixth form or secondary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the OCR (MEI) and Edexcel specifications.
  • Experience with pastoral support and student engagement.
  • Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities related to Mathematics.
