Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage food orders and ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of menus.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment.
  • Support the team during busy periods and special events.
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a catering environment, preferably in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Catering Manager.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in menu planning or food preparation in a professional kitchen.
  • Knowledge of different cuisines and cooking techniques.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
  • Experience with managing food supplies and inventory.
