The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students in achieving their full potential. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a school undergoing significant growth and expansion, including the opening of a new Sixth Form in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, well-planned and differentiated lessons that inspire students and promote high standards of achievement
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic success
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the department and contribute to the development of innovative teaching strategies
  • Support students as a form tutor, building positive relationships and promoting a supportive learning environment
  • Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of the maths curriculum, following the Edexcel GCSE qualification
  • Support the ongoing development and improvement of the maths department through collaboration and shared best practice
  • Uphold the school’s ethos of 'Enjoy Respect Achieve' in all aspects of teaching and student interaction

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics education
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice
  • High expectations of student behaviour and achievement
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive department culture

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching to the Edexcel GCSE qualification
  • Experience in delivering mastery-based teaching approaches
  • Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives
  • Experience in pastoral support or form tutoring
  • Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular programme delivery
