The Opportunity:
As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students in achieving their full potential. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a school undergoing significant growth and expansion, including the opening of a new Sixth Form in 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, well-planned and differentiated lessons that inspire students and promote high standards of achievement
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic success
- Collaborate with colleagues across the department and contribute to the development of innovative teaching strategies
- Support students as a form tutor, building positive relationships and promoting a supportive learning environment
- Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the maths curriculum, following the Edexcel GCSE qualification
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of the maths department through collaboration and shared best practice
- Uphold the school’s ethos of 'Enjoy Respect Achieve' in all aspects of teaching and student interaction
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Mathematics education
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice
- High expectations of student behaviour and achievement
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive department culture
Preferred
- Experience with teaching to the Edexcel GCSE qualification
- Experience in delivering mastery-based teaching approaches
- Experience in leading or supporting departmental initiatives
- Experience in pastoral support or form tutoring
- Experience in co-curricular or extracurricular programme delivery
