Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across all Secondary Key Stages up to IGCSE level.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the National Curriculum for England.
  • Utilize digital tools to enhance learning and align with the school's 'Apple Distinguished School' status.
  • Participate actively in the school’s Professional Learning Community to support continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and mission by promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success and well-being.
  • Stay current with pedagogical trends and incorporate them into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent subject qualification with PGCE or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England to Secondary students.
  • Commitment to raising standards in line with the school's vision, mission, and values.
  • Ability to deliver innovative lessons based on current pedagogical thinking.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Demonstrated ability to use digital tools to enhance learning.
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment.
