As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students across all key stages. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students at all levels, including Key Stage 5
  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning resources that promote student progress and attainment
  • Use ongoing assessment and feedback to support student learning and track progress
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Leader for Science and Subject Leader for Chemistry to ensure consistent delivery of the science curriculum
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Science Department through shared best practice and professional development
  • Support the whole person development of students through involvement in enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives that promote community spirit and charitable work
  • Participate in staff wellbeing initiatives and contribute to a positive, supportive working environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Chemistry at Key Stage 5
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and the ability to inspire students of all abilities
  • Commitment to high-quality planning and creative teaching and learning
  • Experience in using ongoing assessment and feedback to support student progress
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong Catholic ethos
  • Background in leading or contributing to departmental development
  • Experience with curriculum design and innovation in science education
  • Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities
  • Experience in supporting student wellbeing and personal development
