Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress using school systems and data to inform teaching and intervention strategies.
- Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers through meetings and school systems to provide updates on student progress.
- Support the organisation and delivery of extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum action groups to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Uphold and promote the school’s values, attitudes, and ethos in all aspects of teaching and student interaction.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage self-reflection, independence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.
- Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
Preferred
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to educating the whole child.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
