The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Plan and prepare engaging and challenging lessons that align with curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
  • Support students with special educational needs, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and gifted and talented students through differentiation.
  • Facilitate hybrid, distance, and face-to-face learning to ensure continuous student engagement.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the overall school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar teaching role.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Experience teaching students for whom English is not their first language.

Preferred

  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student well-being and development.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
