The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Chemistry Teacher to join its senior school team. This role will involve teaching GCSE and A Level Chemistry, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality instruction and promoting student attainment through innovative and positive teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons at GCSE and A Level, ensuring student engagement and academic success.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that align with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Promote a culture of independent learning and critical thinking in the classroom.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s science program beyond the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and internationally to enhance science education.
  • Support student progress through regular assessment, feedback, and individualized learning plans.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Chemistry and incorporate new teaching methods and technologies.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through staff meetings, professional development, and extracurricular involvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A Level.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high student attainment through effective teaching practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the principles of positive education and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching BTEC Applied Science.
  • Experience in developing and leading science-related co-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with international education systems and cross-cultural teaching environments.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and digital learning tools.
