The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Drama Teacher to join our successful performing arts team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love of performance, creativity, and self-expression in students, while delivering strong academic outcomes at GCSE and A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality drama lessons that engage and challenge students at GCSE and A Level.
  • Inspire confidence, imagination, and collaboration in young people through creative and innovative teaching.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive drama curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Contribute to the wider artistic life of the school through extracurricular activities and performances.
  • Support student development in areas such as communication, creativity, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with other subject areas and arts departments to enhance the learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant drama or performing arts qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching drama at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for England.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for drama and the performing arts.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school environment.
  • Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership within the arts.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technologies.
