Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons to students across all key stages.
- Develop and implement a stimulating curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through individualised guidance and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental performance.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of co-curricular activities that promote scientific curiosity.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment methods.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching techniques.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular involvement and professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and A level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Background in STEM education or related fields.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with non-selective education principles.
