The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Head of or Teacher of Computer Science to join a dynamic department that delivers high-quality education across KS3, KS4, and KS5. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious teacher to contribute to a department that consistently achieves excellent results and offers GCSE and A-Level Computer Science courses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Computer Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Develop and implement a stimulating curriculum that promotes computational thinking and problem-solving.
- Support students in achieving excellent results in GCSE and A-Level Computer Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s academic and co-curricular offering.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior teachers and students.
- Stay up to date with developments in the field of computer science and integrate new technologies into teaching.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral care and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science.
- Experience teaching across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science.
- Ability to deliver high-quality lessons and achieve excellent student outcomes.
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or senior teaching role.
- Experience with GCSE and A-Level Computer Science qualifications.
- Familiarity with OCR and AQA exam boards.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
- ECTs will be considered for this role.
