The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified History Teacher to join our team and inspire students at A Level. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-achieving academic environment, with the potential to support students in their Oxbridge applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons to A Level students.
- Contribute to the development of a stimulating and inclusive curriculum.
- Support students in preparing for Oxbridge applications where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Utilize ICT effectively to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings and events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Encourage a love of History through innovative and inspiring teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
- Experience teaching History at A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for History.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in supporting students with Oxbridge applications.
- Familiarity with using ICT in the classroom.
- Experience in a selective academic school environment.
