The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified History Teacher to join our team and inspire students at A Level. This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-achieving academic environment, with the potential to support students in their Oxbridge applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons to A Level students.
  • Contribute to the development of a stimulating and inclusive curriculum.
  • Support students in preparing for Oxbridge applications where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Utilize ICT effectively to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings and events.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Encourage a love of History through innovative and inspiring teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching History at A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for History.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in supporting students with Oxbridge applications.
  • Familiarity with using ICT in the classroom.
  • Experience in a selective academic school environment.
