Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality physical education lessons and sports programs tailored to the needs of students.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and inspiring sports curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, encouraging them to reach their full potential in sport and physical activity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive sporting culture that encourages participation and teamwork.
  • Contribute to the school’s broader mission by supporting extracurricular sports events and activities.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of sports facilities and equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education or Coaching.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in one of the school’s main sports or in Strength & Conditioning.
  • Commitment to promoting physical activity and sport among students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students in a school or educational setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and delivery in Physical Education.
  • Background in coaching or sports leadership.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
