The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Part-Time Science Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and challenge students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Ideal candidates will have a specialism in Physics and a commitment to fostering academic curiosity and confidence in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that are engaging, interactive and tailored to the needs of students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support the school’s mission of fostering academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Participate in routine teaching events, including parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and Open Days.
  • Contribute to the school’s continued success through collaboration with colleagues and involvement in staff training and development.
  • Support the school’s extended day and flexible boarding model by encouraging academic curiosity and independence.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the holistic development of students.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Provide regular feedback and assessment to support student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience teaching Science at a secondary level.
  • Commitment to inspiring and motivating students of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Specialism in Physics.
  • Experience with teaching in a boarding or independent school setting.
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and staff training.
  • Ability to contribute to a supportive and collaborative school community.
