The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students across Years 7-13. You will be expected to teach a broad range of curriculum topics, including KS3, IGCSE, and A Level, and contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to students across all key stages, including KS3, IGCSE, and A Level.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of science.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and teaching resources.
  • Support the academic and personal development of students through pastoral care and mentorship.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Assist with extracurricular activities and science-related events.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3, IGCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting, particularly in an independent or co-educational school.
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
  • Familiarity with Diamond School teaching methods.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
