The Opportunity:
As a Chemistry Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education to students across Years 7-13. You will be expected to teach a broad range of curriculum topics, including KS3, IGCSE, and A Level, and contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to students across all key stages, including KS3, IGCSE, and A Level.
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of science.
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and teaching resources.
- Support the academic and personal development of students through pastoral care and mentorship.
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Assist with extracurricular activities and science-related events.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3, IGCSE, and A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting, particularly in an independent or co-educational school.
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
- Familiarity with Diamond School teaching methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
