The Opportunity:

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school's IT systems. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to staff and students, helping to maintain the high standards of service expected in a growing institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff and students across the school.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain and update IT systems and software in line with school requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT solutions meet educational and administrative needs.
  • Document and report on IT incidents and resolutions for continuous improvement.
  • Support the rollout of new IT initiatives and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies.
  • Assist in the training and guidance of users on IT systems and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in providing 1st and 2nd line IT support in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of desktop and network technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other common educational software.

Preferred

  • Experience with IT systems in a growing school or educational institution.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with data protection regulations and IT security best practices.
  • Experience with managing and supporting a range of hardware and software platforms.
