The Opportunity:

As an Examinations Officer, you will play a key role in managing exam processes and ensuring the smooth running of assessments. You will be responsible for overseeing invigilation, maintaining the security of exam materials, and supporting students through remark and appeal procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment, training and leadership of exam invigilators.
  • Ensure the safe storage and confidentiality of public exam materials.
  • Maintain secure distribution of exam scripts and NEA materials to relevant bodies.
  • Handle requests for exam papers to be remarked or appealed on behalf of students.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with examination regulations.
  • Support the school in maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and examination security.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of examination periods and related events.
  • Keep accurate records and reports related to examination processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in managing examination processes and invigilation procedures.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in a senior role.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of public examination systems and regulations.
  • Experience with remark and appeal procedures.
  • Experience in training and managing staff.
  • Familiarity with data management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
