The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chemistry to Key Stage 5 students to the highest standards.
• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that promote student understanding and achievement.
• Collaborate with the science team to develop and maintain a strong curriculum.
• Support the school’s commitment to inclusion and student well-being.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and school-wide initiatives.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment in well-equipped laboratories.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure resources and facilities are effectively used.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 5 level.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and inclusive education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or mentoring.
• Background in a Church of England or faith-based school setting.
