The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join a successful and supportive team. This role involves teaching Physics to Key Stage 5 students and contributing to a high-performing science department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to Key Stage 5 students with a focus on engagement and academic success.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that align with curriculum requirements and promote student achievement.
  • Collaborate with the science team to develop innovative and effective teaching strategies.
  • Support the development of students through individualized feedback and pastoral care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and continuous professional development.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behavior.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Director of Science and other subject leads to enhance departmental performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physics education.
  • Ability to teach Physics to Key Stage 5 students.
  • Commitment to inclusive and student-centered teaching practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a school environment, preferably in a team-based setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
