The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join its expanding Science department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and support students across all key stages, while working within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that engage and challenge students across all Key Stages.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback.
  • Stay up to date with new teaching methodologies and incorporate innovative approaches into lesson planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental development.
  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
  • Maintain and manage Science laboratory environments with the support of dedicated technicians.
  • Support the school’s mission to provide an ambitious and inclusive curriculum for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Chemistry education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience working with students across multiple Key Stages.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Ability to manage a Science laboratory and work effectively with technicians.

Preferred

  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Background in developing and delivering schemes of work.
  • Experience in teaching A Level Chemistry or related subjects.
  • Familiarity with cross-trust collaboration and departmental working.
