Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that align with the school’s RISE teaching principles.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and well-being.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Support the school’s mission by contributing to extracurricular activities and community engagement initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with current events and historical developments to ensure relevant and dynamic lesson planning.
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching History at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s core values of knowledge, determination, and love.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with the RISE teaching approach or similar methodologies.
  • Background in inclusive education or working with diverse student populations.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment design.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
