Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that align with the school’s RISE teaching principles.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and well-being.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Support the school’s mission by contributing to extracurricular activities and community engagement initiatives.
- Stay up to date with current events and historical developments to ensure relevant and dynamic lesson planning.
- Provide individualised support to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in History or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching History at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to the school’s core values of knowledge, determination, and love.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Preferred
- Experience with the RISE teaching approach or similar methodologies.
- Background in inclusive education or working with diverse student populations.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment design.
- Familiarity with the use of digital tools in the classroom.
