The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A level Chemistry lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Chemistry.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
  • Support the school's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Stay current with developments in the subject and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Experience teaching A level Chemistry.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in a high-achieving academic environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
