Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality A level Chemistry lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Chemistry.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Support the school's commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Stay current with developments in the subject and incorporate them into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
- Experience teaching A level Chemistry.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student success and continuous professional development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with ECTs (Early Career Teachers) or mentoring.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in a high-achieving academic environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
