The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Part-Time Chemistry Teacher to join a successful and popular department. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development. Ideal for experienced and enthusiastic educators, including ECTs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality A level Chemistry lessons to a motivated and able cohort of students.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Experience teaching A level Chemistry, preferably in a sixth form or college setting.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
• Familiarity with the latest developments in Chemistry education and assessment.
• Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
