The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Part-Time Chemistry Teacher to join a successful and popular department. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development. Ideal for experienced and enthusiastic educators, including ECTs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality A level Chemistry lessons to a motivated and able cohort of students.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental goals and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Chemistry.
- Experience teaching A level Chemistry, preferably in a sixth form or college setting.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with ECTs or mentoring new teachers.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in Chemistry education and assessment.
- Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
