The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development, while contributing to a school with a proven track record of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Chemistry to GCSE standard and all Sciences at Key Stage 3.
  • Deliver lessons that inspire and challenge students across a range of Science subjects.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Chemistry to GCSE and Key Stage 3 Science.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care or Child Development.
  • Strong understanding of Science curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
