The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development, while contributing to a school with a proven track record of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to GCSE standard and all Sciences at Key Stage 3.
- Deliver lessons that inspire and challenge students across a range of Science subjects.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and enrichment activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality learning experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Chemistry to GCSE and Key Stage 3 Science.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A Level or Level 3 Applied/BTEC Science, Health & Social Care or Child Development.
- Strong understanding of Science curriculum and assessment practices.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
