Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 to 11.
  • Inspire a passion for English language and Literature through engaging and creative teaching.
  • Support students in achieving excellence in both English Language and Literature.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English Language and Literature.
  • Experience teaching up to Key Stage 4 (Year 11).
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for English.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on departmental responsibilities.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
