The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Design and Technology Teacher with a Hospitality Specialism to join a dynamic and successful department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons with a focus on Hospitality.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that inspire students.
  • Support the spiritual and moral development of students in line with the school’s Catholic ethos.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise academic standards and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and share best practices with colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology, preferably with a Hospitality specialism.
  • Experience of teaching across a range of ages and abilities.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to Catholic values and the holistic development of students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering Hospitality-related projects or courses.
  • Experience with cross-curricular working and collaboration.
  • Experience in leading or supporting professional development for colleagues.
  • Experience with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching and learning.
