Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire and engage students across all year groups.
  • Support the development of the science curriculum and contribute to departmental planning and strategy.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular science activities and events.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience in teaching science at secondary level.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with differentiated instruction and supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with the Wade Deacon Trust and its values.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
