Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student achievement and attainment.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and growth.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects the school's vision.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities that enhance student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
  • Experience in delivering engaging and effective lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong all-through education model.
  • Familiarity with the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) and its values.
  • Experience in developing and leading enrichment activities or pastoral support programs.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategies for diverse learners.
