Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and a love of science.
  • Support student learning through differentiated instruction and personalized feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Faculty to share best practices and improve teaching standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with current scientific developments and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in school events and initiatives that support the school’s mission of "Achieving Excellence Together."

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods or curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
